Why Revenue Management
Revenue Management has become one of the most in-demand profiles in LATAM since 2023. The expansion of mobility, hospitality and SaaS companies created demand that far outstrips the supply of professionals with provable experience.
The data below comes from real recruiting processes, not self-reported surveys.
Mexico City: ranges by level
Revenue Analyst (1-3 years): MXN 22,000-35,000 gross per month. Most-valued skills: advanced Excel, basic SQL, experience with BI tools.
Senior Revenue Analyst (3-6 years): MXN 40,000-65,000 gross per month. Experience with industry-specific RMS and Python or R for predictive analysis puts candidates at the top of the range.
Revenue Manager (5+ years): MXN 70,000-110,000 gross per month. Team management and the ability to present pricing strategy to leadership are the skills that move the number most.
Head / Director of Revenue: MXN 130,000-200,000+ gross per month, plus a 20-40% variable bonus on performance.
Bogota: context and ranges
The Bogota market is roughly 18-24 months behind Mexico City in maturity, which creates a greater willingness to pay for international experience.
Senior Revenue Analyst: COP 4.5M-7M/month (about $1,100-$1,700 USD). Revenue Manager: COP 8M-14M (about $1,950-$3,400 USD). Head of Revenue: COP 18M-30M+ (about $4,400-$7,300 USD).
What moves the salary most
In both markets: industry of origin (hospitality and airlines pay more than retail), command of data tools (SQL + Python adds 15-25% to the range), and experience with business metrics such as RevPAR, ADR or conversion rate.
